Discover the People Behind Lion Farming

Every step forward is driven by people. Here are the hearts behind Lion Farming.

Jonas Kühnel – Co-Founder & Chair of Lion Farming e.V.

Jonas (26) studies Social Economics at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Nuremberg. An Africa enthusiast, athlete, and passionate kickboxer, his many journeys through West Africa opened his eyes to the challenges local farmers face every day – and to the potential that lies within their communities. These experiences inspired him to co-found Lion Farming, turning concern into action. With a mix of academic insight, energy, and vision, Jonas is committed to tackling root causes instead of symptoms – empowering farmers with tools, knowledge, and community to transform hunger into harvest and dependence into self-reliance.

Louis Klages – Co-Founder & Vice Chair of Lion Farming e.V.

At 28, Louis is an entrepreneur running two physiotherapy practices in Nuremberg, Germany. From the very beginning, he was convinced by the idea of Lion Farming and immediately stepped up to support it with dedication and action. His reliability, sense of responsibility, and tireless energy have played a vital role in moving the project forward. Louis brings not only a strong work ethic but also the determination and focus of a young leader who believes that change is built through commitment and persistence.
